Are you a parent of a student interested in STEM? Are you a scout leader looking for STEM learning opportunities? Do you or your children belong to a science or math student club? Are you a homeschool parent looking for supplemental activities?
The Engineering Outreach Lab provides exciting hands-on lessons in various engineering topics. Students can expect to learn about one discipline of engineering and participate in hands-on learning opportunities. Lesson topics change every three to six months. This is a free service, provided by the College of Engineering.
- Designed for students ages 8-14
- Limited to groups of 15 or less
- Located in the heard of the University of Nevada campus, the K-12 Outreach Lab is a great opportunity for students to experience the University campus and learn about the exciting and growing field of engineering
Our current schedule of lessons is:
- February - June: Environmental Engineering (please note, lessons repeat each week, please do not sign up for more than one lesson per semester)
When: Every First Saturday of the month, 10:00 am - 11:30 am and Every Friday from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm. Special arrangements can be made by contacting Elyse Bozsik.
