Founded in 1982, the mission of the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas is to inspire and educate a diverse public about the history and natural history of Nevada.

The Mission of The Las Vegas Natural History Museum To inspire, through educational exhibits and programs, a better understanding and appreciation of the natural world, the sciences, and ourselves.

Each summer, the College of Engineering and Northern Nevada MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) offer a free introductory engineering camp, available to students who will go on to be the first person in their family to attend college.

This summer camp will introduce basic knowledge of manufacturing engineering, including metrology, heat treatment, metal forming, metal machining, casting, CNC and more. Campers will get a chance to operate machines such as metrology equipment, manual lathes, mills, CNC mills and CNC lathes.

The State Railroad Museum & The Nevada Southern Railway —Come ride the Nevada Southern Railway excursion train at the Nevada State Railroad Museum. We are located in historic Boulder City, Nevada; the city that built the Hoover Dam.

For young women only! An introduction to engineering including lessons, hands-on activities, and mentoring from professional female engineers, university faculty, alumni, and current engineering students.
