This premier inaugural event - Nevada's Computer Science Summit 2018 - will be host to select teams from our K-12 school districts, public charter schools, and higher education institutions. We will all come together to celebrate broadening computer science education, and what this means for our students and our New Nevada in becoming the fastest improving state in the nation.
Keynote Speakers to include:

Pat Yongpradit, Chief Academic Officer, Code.org*
Breakout sessions will explore legislative requirements enacted by Senate Bill 200, SB 200 funding opportunities, Building a district strategic plan, Unwrapping the new K-12 Computer Science Standards, Student access and equity to CS education, Teacher pipeline strategies, Getting computational thinking into TechEd courses, Computer Science Pathways, Introducing CS practices into Core subject area classrooms, Pre-service teacher programs, Inservice teacher licensing and professional development options, and more!
Teams will have strategic planning time built into the Summit so all stakeholders can plan a vision for broadening Computer Science Education to their faculty and students.
* Code.org is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and increasing participation by women and underrepresented minorities.
